there is a way to download the updates locally and then run them.  I =
forget the address though.  I will dig around here and see if I can find =
it.

make sure they have a legit copy of WindowsXP.  Since SP1, Windows =3D3D
update won't work with bogus copies of XP.  I'm sure there are ways =
=3D3D
around that if you look hard enough.

Sorry for the off topic but I think that someone on this list has
probably seen this one.  I have one of my clients running xp pro on
their machine and when I go to windows update from MS's site, it doesn't
do anything when I hit "scan my computer for updates".  IE just sits
there and never scans the local machine. =3D3D20 Any ideas on what might =
=3D
be
