Don't worry Joanne, just keeping cutting bits off until it fits. As always, ensure you are wired to ground :o) also, don't forget to wipe your fingerprints off the chassis and deny having anything to do with it. If we'd listened to IBM when they were telling us that MCA was the way forward, everything would be hunky dory... -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Joanne Determann Sent: 21 January 2005 16:03 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] OT IBM servers and cards OK I've had to cut off the end of a RAID card to get it to fit in a tiny 1U server that I can live with. BUT.... now I had to cut the ends of off 3 cards to fit in my 'normal' sized new server. And one of the cards is even an IBM. Crazy thing the slots are too far back from the bays .The pins fit fine but there's almost a ¼ ' gap betwixt mother and the bays. It's like the cards are ISO but the motherboard ain't. I always thought IBM was the king of architecture. Probably making them in China. ============================================================================== This message is for the sole use of the intended recipient.
