Well now, I think the question of the best player is a much broader one.
If you want the education on the subject, check out the Home Theater PC
forum at www.avsforum.com. The bottom line is that there are two
favorites in this crowd (who use PC's as DVD players to scale up DVD's
for 100" screens). One is Zoomplayer which allows you to mix and match
your choice of video and audio decoders. The other is Theatertek
(www.theatertek.com), which is an off the shelf super easy to use player
with the hands down best video and audio decoders build in (smoke WinDVD
IMHO).

BTW, I've tried WMP 9.0, and it doesn't play DVD's quite well. I know =

that the new versions of the DIVX play is supposed to support playing of

But, by far, InterVideo WinDVD Platinum is the best DVD player out =3D3D
there.

I have the latest media player but it still tells me I don't have a =

compatible dvd decoder. I have a sony vaio f390 laptop and apparently a

toshiba dvdrom drive. I looked on both of there websites and could find

nothing about dvd decoders. I went to the imesh.com site but when I hit

download it just brings up a blank webpage. And nothing else. Any =

other ideas?
