Thanks Andrew.

1) you are right, it isn't a problem. It was really a statement of fact
that lead to #2's problem.
2) We are using Nfuse 1.71 and ICA Client 6.31.1051 on devices with an ICA
client connection. Java still downloads whether or not an ICA client is
available.
3) Ouch!!! Is there another alternative then Java ICA client that we can
put on the NFuse IIS server when an ICA client is not available to the
device connecting?
4) I agree. I know there a setting I am missing in the Web interface or in
the documentation. I know someone out there will look at this and quote me
the page and line item and I will put my tail between my legs and sneak
slowly into the night.
5) Here I thought Java would be the answer to my prayers...It appears I
might have been wrong.

Jay

Subject: [THIN] Re: Nfuse/ICA Java Client on Secure Gateway

Cant help with the lot, but as ever, a sharper tool from the box will be
along in a minute :) (Plus we dont use nfuse, so this is just a collection
of ideas and "Wot I Red")

1 - is this a problem?
2 - the class files, i believe are around 2mb+ which would likely take a
couple of minutes or longer on a dialup. wireless, well, that could be any
speed really, how are they connecting to the net? the ssl error may be
because the nfuse server has timed out while waiting for a response, but im
not really sure on that.. what happens when the user hits refresh?
3 - yep, thats java! :) some java engines will cache bits, some browsers
will cache bits, others will do none, some, something else altogether..
4 - that i cant help with! presumably somehting going wrong with the nfuse
page detecting the client
5 - i've experienced this as well, and i think it could well be javas fault
again, eating the cpu so i doubt theres a solution other than to use a
better client!

And dont worry about asking a lot, thats what the groups here for! (isnt
it?)

Andrew
