Hi Joanne

You don't have to use the Unlock reg trick documented in the MS Article
below anymore.
It's all done via "assoc" and "ftype".
But I stumbled over the same problem like you.
After sending assoc and ftype, doubleklicking on the tif File brings the ms
implemented viewer.
Rightclick on the tif file and choose 'open' brings the app you associate
with assoc.
There is an easy trick to get it work with doubleclick:

Delete the HCR Key for .tif before you send the assoc and ftype

for me that worked.

Hope that helps you.

Ciao Daniel

My change, advance etc. tab aren't greyed out.

I searched the reg for tif and tiff and it looks like all users are
assoc to Image. Hmmmm.

Running a Published desktop

Problem : Tif and tiff are opening with Windows fax viewer.

In file types tiff and tif is associated with Kodak Image viewer

If I run assoc .tiff (or .tif) I get TIFImage.Document

On the servers I can open tiffs with Image viewer.

But the clients still open with Windows fax viewer.

Any clues? Thanks,Joanne
