Thanks for the responses so far

Ok the server is Windows 2k SP3
The metaframe version is 1.8 SP2
Whilst i havent been onsite i am fairly sure the licensing is correct to
these versions ( everything else they run is performing normally)

The Gifs in the application appear perfectly when run on the console itself

I am not aware how you can configure RDP to display 16bit so i am not sure
how to test this
When i connect via RDP in my test environment via RDP the gifs appear
incorrectly in the same way as the clients does

Is anyone aware of a good resource on all the ways in which colour can be
configured for this type of environment?

Thanks again
Nick
