Joe, If you have been a part of the testing with IE7 or read any of the documentation for that matter you would understand that this is probably one of the most secure browsers MS has put out. I am not sure where you get the part about the poor attitude towards security. The browser runs in its own little space so that viruses/rogue web sites etc can not affect the operating system. The built in security and phishing monitoring are outstanding and there is no way Firefox can do it better. If you love Linux yeah I guess you are stuck. BTW Windows Vista with it's virtualization features will be one of the most secure systems available ever. Go get Internet Explorer 7 now! Firefox has the following things going for it: Portability… Try running IE on linux. ;o) Didn’t leave a sour taste (like IE 5/6 did) No Microsoft BS and its poor attitude toward security (They still treat product vulnerabilities like a PR issue) From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jim Kerr Sent: Thursday, October 19, 2006 9:01 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: It's Official.. Go get Internet Explorer 7 now! In addition IE renders MUCH faster. The only thing Firefox has right now that I REALLY like are all of the really cool extensions. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jim Kenzig http://ThinHelp.com To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, October 19, 2006 11:39 AM Subject: [THIN] Re: It's Official.. Go get Internet Explorer 7 now! You guys are barking up the wrong tree. If you really think that Firefox is the end all be all without any problems you are living in a dream world. Do you read Cert? Go to http://www.cert.org and search on Firefox... there are just as many vulnerabilities. Get real.
