Yes you can.. Be sure to install the ica client from the Metaframe XP
installation first so that the pass-through client is properly installed.
Then you can use the stand alone distribution of the ica client to upgrade
the version.

Subject: [THIN] Is it possible ??

Hi ,

I've been asked to confirm something and I need some help if possible.

We currently run XP Metaframe FR3 SP4 90 % of our users get a published
Desktop from our local Farm.

We have a request from head office to be able to use one of their
applications on their citrix farm in our location.

I think we should be able to set up the ica client on a fat client to point
to that application ?

But I am wondering is it possible to run an ICA client on our servers to
pull that application into our environment and our users be able to use it
on the published desktop.

I thinking this is more achievable on the newer version but need some
confirmation that it wont work. ie some tech note .

thanks

Ronnie
