When I try to install hotfix PSE400W2KR01 Iâm getting the below error
âinstallation ended prematurely because of an errorâ.

'PSE400W2KR01' could not be installed. Error code 1603. Additional information
is available in the log file

1) Iâve reinstalled MSI installer version 3 on the problem server.
2) Iâve installed the same PSE400W2KR01 hotfix on another server in the farm
without issues.
3) Iâve restarted the server a number of times.
What am I missingâwhy wonât it install?
