Again, it all depends on the applications themselves.  I have customers that
can get 50-100 users with 4GB of RAM and other that can get no more that 20
users with 4 GB of RAM.

 

First, lets start of with what application do you plan to run on this
server?  What are the CPU/Memory requirements for each of these application.
Will this be 25-30 users concurrently?  What about using Free XenServer or
Hyper-V and creating 2-3 VM on the box for additional resiliency and
separation of infrastructure roles from the applications themselves?
