I find it easier to switch the two Citrix print services to Log On as Local System. This fixes the imaging problem as well as other client printer related issues. _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Greg Reese Sent: Thursday, September 22, 2005 2:28 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: D'Oh! - Imaging Procedure (PART II) I have needed to run through the directions for rebuilding the smauser account after imaging mine. Otherwise the imaged server has the original server's sma account being referenced. Greg On 9/22/05, IT Support <it@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Whoops - Ignore that last message... wrong attachment! Here's the procedure I use after a machine has been imaged... pain-stakingly simple. 1. Login as local admin. 2. Dissolve teamed network connection, recreate with correct ip address. (This is to reset the MAC address / routing tables) 3. Run NEWSID.EXE to generate a new sid and rename computer name at this point. 4. System will reboot. 5. At this point, you can add the computer back to the domain only after deleting the existing Active Directory Object for that computer. Once added, move AD object back into correct Citrix OU. 6. Change UID entry to one at random in w:\program files\citrix\system32\ctxsma.conf, restart Citrix XML service, add server again into Secure Gateway Console. 7. ensure anti-virus software is correctly communicating to management server. 8. ensure appsense is correctly communicating. Is there anything else that's been missed? ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor: triCerat Inc. You need Day Zero Protection!
