We run a Server 2008 R2 RDS farm. We are experiencing multiple crashes and
hangs with Firefox 3.6.x, typically during startup but also during normal
browsing. To a lesser extent, we are also experiencing similar crashes/hangs
with IE7.

Event logs dont help much - most of the crashes/hangs arent generating a log
entry. The error messages at the time of the crash sometimes indentify a DLL,
but rarely the same DLL. Firefox doesnt seem to know it crashed - about:crashes
is always blank.

The crashes/hangs only occur within RDS sessions on our farm (ie the problems
dont occur on local desktops).
The crashes dont seem to occur on servers which arent working as RDS servers.
We suspect browser addons which arent happy in a 64 bit RDS environment.
We are thinking the reason we see less incidents in IE7 is because we only use
IE7 to access our SaaS provider's service.
(Our SaaS provider doesnt use Flash, for example)
We use Firefox for most browsing.

We suspect that checking for addon updates during startup could be one reason
Firefox is crashing.

Timne to break out the sysinternals tools I guess, but thought I'd also ask
here for ideas...

Thanks,

Sean
