Also, make sure that you do have ALL installed NIC's in a network
team or completely remove them along with the driver in the Intel
PROSet II program. We had an issue a while back that the disabled
NIC on one of out MetaFrame 1.8 servers had taken over as the Mast
Browser and non of the servers could get the Published Application
list, and the clients could not get the list either. I had to
physically take out the NIC, remove it from the Intel PROSet II
program, reboot, and verything started to work.
I spent 6 hours figuring this out, until I finally did a QSERVEr from
the command prompt on one of the other servers to find out what the
ICA Master Browser was.
BTW, I wasn't more than 1 week into learning MetaFrame 1.8 (which I
had never touched the product until I started where I currently
work).

I agree with what Jeff just posted. We used to run Load Balancing,
and that had issues. I told our director that we cannot use Load
Balance, unless we have the switch configured for this. We have had
our NIC's teamed with Fault Tolerant and never had a problem. We
will continue to use this configuration as it has always worked.
Also, the NIC's do need to be plugged into the same switch or blade,
depending on what type of Catalyst you have on prem.

What type of fault tolerant config are you using, Adapter or Switch?
If it is "Adapter based" then all adapters must be connected to the
same switch or hub. And Spanning Tree must be OFF.
If it is "Switch based" then you can connect to two different
switches and Spanning tree must be ON. The documentation also
indicates that you ca not connect any client devices to the same
switches that the server adapters are connected to or they will not
fail over on a fault. So you basically loose the fault tolerance for
those clients that are connected to the same switches that the
servers are connected to.

The Cisco FEC option is the best option. You will get a nice mix of
speed increase and fault tolerance with this config. Split your
servers onto different switches as Brian indicated and you have an
additional layer of tolerance that will allow half of your servers to
stay up if (in the unlikely event) that you loose a switch.
Hope some of this helps sway your NE guys. Just tell them that you
know more than they do. That always seems to get the NE people on
your side ;-)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, not sure how Citrix behaves in a Fault Tolerant config. I've
never tried it. If all is configured correctly and you still have the
same problems have the NE guys monitor for errors and line up/down
events on the switch. I could see the IMA bugging out if there is a
bunch of switching between adapters....
