Hi Hector, One of the more patient and thorough members of the list (who's name I've forgotten, sorry!) suggested running acrotray.exe as a scheduled task. That should give you what you need. regards, Rick Ulrich Mack Volante Systems ________________________________ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx on behalf of Minero Hector B DLVA Sent: Thu 2/09/2004 6:04 AM To: Thin (E-mail) Subject: [THIN] Acrobat 5.0 (again) It's been a while since I've seen anything posted about Acrobat 5.0 Distiller and I thought I'd ask to see if anyone has made any progress on this issue. AFAIK, we can make Acrobat Distiller 5.0 work only if An admin is logged in at the console and he/she creates a PDF file. Automatic logon can be configured, but I am concerned with the fact that the password is in plain text for everyone to see. Registry permissions on HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Winlogon can be modified, but I do believe that users need to be able to read this key, don't they? I am familiar with PDF995 and other products that work well, but I am beig asked to use Acrobat 5.0. Anyway, anyone out there successfully using Acrobat 5.0 Distiller on Win2k Terminal Server? Would you mind sharing your knowledge? Hector.- _________________________________ Hector Minero NSWCDD Code K55 Ph: (540)653-8859 Fax:(540)653-8575 ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor triCerat: Have you had your fill of printing support calls, unauthorized apps running on unsecured Terminal Servers, profile headaches, and application performance problems?
