With a nice weekend coming up, I expect that upper coast birders will find a new species for the state. John C. We first found the bird right on the east side of where the jetty ends. It came in to feeding activity of gulls (including the continuing California Gull). We saw it fly off towards shore, so we chased it, and refound it basically right in front of the observation tower. It flew off to the southeast the last time we saw it.
