This morning, a leucistic Red-Tailed Hawk was on a telephone pole on Loop 463 between Salem Rd and Mockingbird Lane. This afternoon, I "braved" the 99 degree heat by car-birding Saxet Lakes Park and was surprised to see 20 species in an hour and a half, including my FOS American Kestrel, a Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher, an Eastern Kingbird, and two Yellow Warblers.
