Subject: Utopia Birds
We had to put out our third feeder for the 20 or so Black Chinned Hummers.
They have a favorite feeder that they empty every day. The males are
displaying for the females. We were watering the tomatoes in the garden with a
sprayer and a hummer kept flying under it.
Finally saw the Hooded Oriole female. She came to the hummer feeder (not the
favorite one) with the male and waited until he was thru drinking, then she got
on and had a drink.
The Carolina Wren has a nest inside the outdoor bathroom. I was cleaning out
the water catch on one of the gutters and found the Bewick's Wren nest under
the garage roof.
There are 5 Blue Bird eggs in one of the boxes.
El Rojo the Vermilion Flycatcher and his girl are flitting around like crazy.
The Cedar Waxwings are still here.
