There was a report on the la bird server via florida etc that there had been major thunderstorm activity over most of the Yucatan which could have limited takeoffs. The lack of migrants was general all the way over to Florida. My website for merida/cancun radar is down and perhaps gone but one can get satellite from Accuweather etc and the time laps shows a major system moving from west to east that covered the peninsula and still is affecting the eastern third.
