Ken's posting that he saw a Swainson's in the same area at 7am on Wednesday
made me realize that I didn't post the time of day, sorry. I saw my
Swainson's yesterday, Thursday, at about 1:30pm.
PS to Cathy who asked about birding spots...If I had limited time in Austin
for birding, I would hit Hornsby Bend in the morning and the fabulous Purple
Martin show at Highland Mall (starting about 8:00pm) at night. I believe
Travis Audubon will be at Highland on Friday and Saturday nights to answer
peoples' questions about the PUMAs, this weekend and next weekend. But
double check that with the Travis Audubon Society website.

I as well saw a Swainson's Hawk Wednesday morning at the same location
around 7 am flying low heading southeast. I was heading west.
