[texbirds] Yellow-crowned Night Herons 7/15/12

Sorry for the delay. We spotted 4 Yellow-crowned Night Herons on Sunday
evening while out biking in Carrollton, TX.
It was 2 adult with 2 juveniles out on the grassy area at the mouth of the
lake, viewed from Peter's Colony. Lake is Woodlake at the corner of Josey
and Peter's Colony.
We are assuming they must have nested in the trees near that end. Pretty
thick vegetation providing cover despite all the city commotion. But they
weren't bothered by us stopping about 20 yards away for a look so guess they
are pretty used to humans. It was dusk.
