Well I reckon Jim said it well enough and there is a reason for not posting
locations whether the birding community considers it good or bad. There
have been many such occurrences. We sorta stopped posting a few things
like Yellow-green Vireos etc. in Port O'Connor given some unfortunate
happenings in a small community that is all eyeballs. There was a Redpoll
up in the DFW area that only a select few were able to see despite it being
a bird in Texas that many, including myself, have yet to see in the state,
(though I am not much of a chaser). There have been many such birds over
the years and the TBRC gets a good share of them, or at least once did...I
am befuddled as to why this is just not understood and accepted. There
is/was a bird in Austin that I am sure would be hounded to no end if its
presence were known at least by area birders. It is just the way it is.
As long as any TBRC review bird makes it to that committee we should all be
satisfied.....If it does not, then count me among the pissed as well [?]
