On Friday, there were at least 15 warbler species at Lafitte's Cove, the best
total that I have encountered this spring at this site. I had Golden-winged
Warbler (2), Chestnut-sided, Bay-breasted, Magnolia, Blackpoll (2),
Black-and-white, Worm-eating, Tennessee (3), Nashville, Yellow, Black-throated
Green, Common Yellow-throat (10+), American Redstart, and Ovenbird. The
Mourning Warbler also was reportedly seen. Vireo species including the
continuing Black-whiskered, Yellow-throated, Blue-headed, Red-eyed and Warbling
(6+).
