Sarah and I roamed the coastal bend today, compiling a list of places the
Jabiru was not:

by the Post Office
- Kingsville: TAMUK campus
- Kleberg County: east of Riviera including the dump, Mittag's Pond
<http://ebird.org/ebird/hotspot/L420544>, and Pipit's Corner (eBird
hotspots)
- Anywhere along TX77 from Kingsville to Victoria
- Invista Wetlands <http://ebird.org/ebird/hotspot/L569908> southeast of
Victoria (viewing tower closed to public access, but open for
standing-on-truck access)
- Dacosta Turf Farm <http://ebird.org/ebird/hotspot/L3046332> also
southeast of Victoria
- Lighthouse Beach and Bird Sanctuary
<http://ebird.org/ebird/hotspot/L3046332> - Port Lavaca
- Guadalupe Delta WMA <http://ebird.org/ebird/hotspot/L569741>
As others have mentioned here or on Texbirds Fb, there is a whole lot of
land without even so much a shoulder of a road for access. It's going to
take a lot of eyes and even more good fortune to refind it. Good luck to
