Today I drove through Hazel Bazemore County Park in Northwest Corpus Christi. On the pond there were stilts, both yellowlegs, Western and Least Sandpipers, Tri-colored Heron, an immie Great Blue in a tree preening, one American Avocet and a handful of twittering Killdeer. About a dozen Scissortail Flycatchers were hanging out along the river. Also saw several Homo erectus on the Hawkwatch platform. Judy Kestner Calallen (NW Corpus Christi)
