Yes I don't think it is right either. Having known Mr. Collins a long time and my family knowing him a very long time. I find Mark's remark out of line. As a manager of a different email list, I would moderate such emails so they were not sent to the list or available online. Knowing this topic was going to be a sensitive one from the original email asking others to look at a picture to see what they thought it was without a general location, I wonder why this did not switch to a moderated list for the short term. Although I didn't read the lengthy email in detail, I fail to see how this is helping birders. Mr. Collins on the other hand DOES help birders. How about switch to a different heated topic, like does everyone know that the law says in Texas ALL your court records are to be available for online access by the end of 2014? Majority of them are already there. Doesn't it scare you that in less than 5 minutes it is free and easy to learn everything you would not like known to others, including all your residences, date of birth, everything? ________________________________ From: Bob Simmons <bsimmons@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: Texbirds <texbirds@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, September 21, 2013 8:30 AM Subject: [texbirds] Re: ELTE; location issue; falsification and record committee As someone who has known Fred Collins for many years and who has been on a number of his birding trips, I don't think Mark's sneering characterization of Fred is fair. -- On 21 Sep 2013 at 2:41, Mark Bartosik wrote (in part): > ... but I will comment on Fred Collins suggestions only because he, or more > precisely > behavior of people from his birding bus tour are one perfect example and one > of the major > reasons why I did not disclose the ELTE location.
