4 birders including myself spent time at the above this AM. By far the
most significant find here or statewide was a Bufflehead. I believe Rick K.
first observed it tho I was unaware of that find until today. A very good
find as neither the Handbook, Ebird or the few other resources I have in my
current location show any July records of the species anywhere
statewide...ever. The bird is with a Redhead usually. I don't have access
to the issues of NAB post Aug. 2013 right now. Rich may have photos but I
had no camera.
A Least Grebe was seen and likely is still around but was found in very
dense and flooded Buttonbush where it can easily vanish or stay hidden.

Karen McBride saw two Tree Swallows over the lake which I dipped on but
as usual I very rarely tote a scope especially when the secondary purpose
of a visit here is a exercise event.
