[texbirds] Brazos Bend SP 1/17

Beautiful weather this morning at Brazos Bend SP. Rachel Wrenn and I birded
the 40 Acre and Elm Lake areas from about 7:30 to 11:00AM. Sora, Virginia,
and King Rail were vocal from the marsh north of 40 Acre Lake early on. The
cooperative male Vermilion Flycatcher was still hanging out around the Elm
Lake observation deck. Best birds for the day were:
Couch's Kingbird - 1 NW corner of Elm Lake
Brown Creeper - 1 heard only along the 40 Acre Lake Trail
Winter Wren - 1 along the Spillway Trail
Rusty Blackbird - 1 male along the Spillway Trail
