Greetings,
We heard the birds raising a ruckus off the front deck about 11:00 AM and
when for a look. A very nice, large Texas Rat Snake was making its way
along the garden wall below. The audience included Carolina Chickadees,
Titmice, Northern Cardinals, House Finches, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Carolina
Wrens, one Black-and-white Warbler and no less than four Yellow Warblers.
Rains have been beneficial with no problems locally: 10” + and counting
since the system first came through. With few aerial insects to feed on,
more than 200 Chimney Swifts have been lounging in the South Tower during
the day and only going out for a couple of hours before sunset.
Best Regards,
Paul and Georgean Kyle
