I just got to Christmas Mountains Oasis. I had to walk in. Unless you have 4 wheel drive you can't make it in. I didn't see the Varied Thrush after I got here, around 6 PM, so don't know for sure that it's still here. The grapes were eaten today so likely it is still here. Otherwise, there's plenty of snow out here and a few birders who have been snowed out of the Basin - will pass on their reports if/when we hear back; they're checking the Prairie Dog Town and Post Park at least... and I'm stuck in front of a computer! Must be gorgeous out there! Davis Mts have been reporting good snow accumulation; the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute reported 8 inches this morning, Alpine has posted 6 and we managed ~3 inches here in town!
