I would take the fledgling to Anhuac. The visitor center always has a barn swallow roost, and even if they have moved on, it is a migrant stop. He probably has a btter chance of hooking up with a flock heading south there than west of Houston. And if he gets left behind it is a pretty good place for a swallow year round.
