Hey guys...if you are going to work with SMT components go ahead and purchase
some good soldering equipment. Themal tweezers are GREAT. I purchased a set
of "Metcal" equipment....works great but pricy. Paid over $1600 for a setup
with tweezers and normal tips. My local distributor even sent a manto the
shop for a demo. I had to change a couple of SM IC's on a Toshiba Main board
one day and almosr screwed up big time....decided then that I would rather
invest in goood equipment BEFORE I ruin a $500.00 board rather than after. I
would look around first and get the best deal, I am sure there are many good
brands of equipment around...however Metcal is awsome stuff.

There is a chemical available from Digikey called Chip Quik which
assists in the removal of SMD chips. I have never tried it but hear it
works well. Expensive though.
