Robert, If you want to you could go to a program called system file checker and have it look for corrupted files it's under the tools tab of system information found in the system tools file click start, then click programs then accessories then system tools then system information tools is on the top find system file checker and run that have your windows98SE disc handy in case it finds a corrupt file then the system will pull a good copy of the file from the CD.
