Gary,

I haven't worked on one of those for a LONG time, but the problem (as I
remember) is with the cable from the control board to the pcb. 
Replacement of the board and cable is the only solution I know of.

I did work for a rental company many years ago and replaced a ton of
them.  Max may well have what you need.  You remove the door and
disconnect the ribbon cable from the chassis.
