I've only had 2 Phillips LCOS with spots on them, you can see them when the
video input had No Signal and black picture.....looks like quarter-sized out
of focus spots.
And 1 Sony and 1 Panasonic.......
Panasonic sold us a long haired artist brush for a few dollars, with
instructions, probably a kit.
Get a can of Clean, dry air....

Color wheels are just a synchronized motor, relatively easy to replace, just
as long as you follow the disassembly procedure once or twice you'll get the
hang of it.

Troubleshooting any of the DLP/LCOS/LCD sets initially requires ALL INPUTS
be tested for any video-related failures.....the Component/DVI test can cut
the video circuitry in half as they only use the final video stages in most
TVs. Also useful is the PIP/POP test in "dividing and conquering"....
