Hey Bruce, that model seems to be missing the screen size, but I have seen some Sony's come in like that That just needed to enter service mode and adjust Horizontal. Sometimes they just lose programming on Horizontal alone. I have seen many do that on those TS sets. Might want to look there. If I vary the screen VR control on CRT board it does affect the black area some .. I don't think this set uses the IK circuit like some. I don't have a print to check the video circuit. I am hoping some one that works on a lot of Sony's has seen this before. I ESR'd most caps, used heat on the caps and cold spray but do not see a change in the condition.
