I don't know what D610 does in the circuit. But I can tell you that it probably is a Schottky diode that reads a lot different from most other diodes. On my Fluke 12 a Schottky diode measures low one way, and the other way the display blinks quickly. This how I know that a diode that appears to be partially shorted is actually a Schottky diode and is still good.
