I don't know what D610 does in the circuit. But I can tell you that it
probably is a Schottky diode that reads a lot different from most other
diodes. On my Fluke 12 a Schottky diode measures low one way, and the
other way the display blinks quickly. This how I know that a diode that
appears to be partially shorted is actually a Schottky diode and is
still good.

Hi Guys, can someone with a print tell me what D610`s purpose is in this
Sony?
reads dead short in circuit, out of circuit reads infinite one way and
167
Ohms the
other way, have removed the RGB chip on the crt board, vertical output
IC,
HOT
is not shorted, blink code is 2 blinks with everything in, (like I don`t
know theres
a shorted part somewhere) Thanks in advance, Larry E

> Hi Guys, this KV32FS12, BA5 chassis, has a constant tick or click like
you
would have from a relay but it`s definitely coming from the flyback, B+
line
is fluctuating from 35 v to 65 v up and down constantly, 200 v line is
constantly changing from 108-135 volts, HOT is not shorted, pulled CN502
to
remove the rgb driver from the circuit, nothing
