Yes Roy,
I can proudly say (for what it's worth) that any acquisition of  new
ASC brands were due to nothing more than my own skills and tenacity.

NESDA did nothing for me in that regard, although I did get to talk to
the "heavy hitters" while they were in party mode...not much hard core 
business
happened there.

I found NESDA to be too clannish ( on several levels). I was more interested
in industry politics than tech training-which made some people 
uncomfortable.
Apparently you fit in just fine. I am  an an "only child" which makes me 
anti-social by definition...oh well,
we all have our little crosses to bear... ;-)
