I had a similiar problem that developed after changing the eeprom some two years back.(in a rush I recorded the numbers wrong) To make a long story short, I put back everything as I found it, pulled out the chipper check, reinitialized the eeprom and got my sound back with a good picture. Yes, I too wasted a lot of time on this chassis Regards Jonas ----- Original Message ----- From: "mark brock" <brock@xxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, February 08, 2002 11:11 AM Subject: [TechAssist] RCA PTK178L > > PTK178L ctc178L > > this original problems was no sound, put in the EEPROM Kit that comes > with microprocessor #212119. > I took the old program out and wrote it all down, fired up, entered > the new settings because it was out of whack, now have sound and fair > picture butt......customer complains the blue is over driven ex-airforce > tech and wants it perfect ), I'll do my best if I knew which parameter > controls the blue drive or gain ? and it will not auto program, > I entered each channel one at a time so its working but wondered why it > won't auto program, > > can anyone help me out on either of these ? > > also noted that @77-21-26 there is an asterisk * beside it on original, > moved to #22 after all the inputs were done, is this a concern ? and > last but may answer all my problems If I accidentally was on page 79 > instead of 78 and changed the first 4 settings before I figured it out will > this mess up anything other than the PIP, ( which is ok ) ? > I think page 79 is for the pip settings only ? > sure appreciate any help,, on this new experience, what a time consumer > pain, > brock > Brock Electronics > R.R.4 box 237 > Independence Ks. 67301 > 316-331-0235 > fax 331-7191 > brock@xxxxxxx > mailto:brock@xxxxxxx > > > ------------------------------------------ > Make your TechAssist database better! > Submit Repair Tips here: http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/ > ------------------------------------------ > To UNSUBSCRIBE your email address, click here: > mailto:techassist-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe > Or send a BLANK email with unsubscribe in the > SUBJECT field to the address above. > ------------------------------------------ Make your TechAssist database better!
