Robert, thanks for your reply those caps all checked good, Fix for this unit was CR14501 across pins 2 & 6 of vert. IC. This diode checked good on a diode tester!!!!! Must break down under a full load, sooooo replace instead of checking this diode if the bottom 1/2 of the screen is all black and the top is nothing but lines, Larry E Larry Eastman American TV & Electronics Crystal River, Fl. 34428 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Larry E" <videotech@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, April 20, 2005 4:39 PM Subject: [TechAssist] RCA P60920BL PTK195KC vert. problems > Hi Guys, working on a RCA P60920BL 195 chassis with what looked like a converg. > problem initially, 3 bowed lines in the center of the screen, top half looks like it has > severe foldover or loss of sync (without the rolling, hard to describe) bottom half of > the picture is black, audio is also missing, found no output voltages on the little aux board, replaced the board and got all voltages back but the symptom is exactly the same, checked the vertical IC and voltages were all low except pin 2, unsoldered > pins 1 & 7 and voltages came back up except pin 6 it was 8.9v now with pins 1 & 7 > unsoldered it`s 12.5 volts, I have never seen this symptom on a 195 chassis before > obviously U14501 is bad but is there anything else that you guys have seen?
