Bill:

Any RCA (ok, most) with an autoprogram problem: Check H Sync going into
the micro. No H sync, no memory. Set defaults to "air", no channels
stored in memory, and channels can be tuned manually. Set can be put in
"cable", and channels can be tuned manually.

Most brands of TVs autoprogram looking for that 3.58 burst. Most brands
store the "jammed" channels, because they have a 3.58 burst.

Not RCA. RCA figures that if there is no H Sync you don't want to watch
it anyway, so who cares if it is in color.

H Sync on micro U3101p 23 about 5V. It comes through a convoluted path.
The last active semi before the micro is SMD Q4402 pn 215495, a high
failure part number. 5.4V pulses on the emitter, 9vdc on the collector
1.09vdc on the base. I guess about 5V pulses on the base, the schematic
doesn't say, the show 11V pulses then a 4700/5100 ohm voltage divider to
ground.

Let us know if you have H Sync on the micro.
