FOLLOWUP Okay I decided to get back to this dog today. I changed a few more questionable caps to no avail. The problem may not be vertical but horizontal because I do have a full vertical deflection it's just the top 1" of the screen that is scrambled as if the horizontal is off but just at the top. Has anyone seen this on this chassis? I still have an inch or so of vertical distortion (pulling to the left) at the top of the screen. Also 1/3 of the screen seems to be brighter (flickering also) then the rest of the screen which has a stable image. Now to find the bad cap, changed seven now and I still haven't found it. Any ideas? What is the chassis number for this? Anyone? Replaced usual suspects around vertical deflection heatsink, C451, C453, C455, C458 and a .1uf/50V cap (forgot its board location). Anyway now I get vertical distortion at the top of the screen while viewing a channel. With just a blue screen (like from a VCR menu) I can see the top 5" of the screen pulsing up and down, I rechecked all caps and verified the charge-pump circuit is working properly. What am I missing here? Another cap?
