Check for a shorted disk cap next to HOT...probably leaning against the heat 
sink.

phillips 25b800, had no vertical,
I cant seem to find a schematic of the crt board for this chassis.
replaced vert ic,
  rectifier, resistor,  2 electrolytics.
comes on for 4 seconds then shutdown.
too much screen drive.
white with retrace.
adjusting screen control is very sensitive.
can a shorted vert. cause video damage?
