Does the fuse go black? If not why not try a larger fuse. When the set first comes on is the highest current draw. Years ago we had to replace 4 amp fuses with 5 amp fuses in middle 80's Mitsubishi/electrohome console TV's, otherwise they kept blowing for no good reason.
