It sounds like the motor has lost its torque. If the P/S is good then you most likely have a bad motor. Another possibility is the belt that you walk on could have too much friction, slowing it down. More than likely, though it is your motor. I had one that had a bad motor that could have gone on its own, or could have been stressed by the belt, which also could have damaged the control board. I never did repair it because the parts were too expensive to just start putting new parts in from the US. Hi, I'm trying to fight off dunlaps disease (my stomach's about to dun lap over my belt. Someone gave me a Proform treadmill a few year ago. A connector in the positive line to the motor which turns the belt had burned open. An easy fix, I thought. The treadmill now works, but it appears to have reduced torque. The tread moves OK, but the minute I step on it, it slows to a stop. OK, guys, I know what you're thinking. I'm only up to 233 pounds. :-) It seems to work OK, if I crank the speed up high, and then step on. For now, I'm going to check the caps in the power supply, hoping that'll fix it. I'm not a treadmill tech. I'm hoping for some advice.
