John,

I used to do a lot of treadmill repair when I was at Sears.  What we used
was silicone lubricant.  MUST BE WATER-BASED!!!  The petroleum-based
stuff will ruin the rubber belt.  We bought it from NAPA auto parts
store.

BTW, my wife is flying up to Canton Thursday.  Hope it gets a lot warmer
by then.  We were there the first 10 days of this year--nearly froze to
death!
