Ron, I found a bullitin that might help: The output of the vertical ic
IC550 is protected by r553 and c 561 in these sets. It was later found tha
if r553 a 1/4 watt SMD device,went up in value that vertical output failure
might occur. Because of the stresses that may be encountered by r 553 it is
being chenged to a 2 1/2 ohm watt leaded device, p/n 4835 116 57276. If r
553 is defective, replace it with the leaded part. this leaded part should
be attached at the appropriate leads of r555 and c561 on the bottom of the
board.
