My post told everything that I know about it. Must have been 6 months to a
year ago (cant keep track of time anymore) Philips made the announcement and
sent a letter to all parties involved, which I read first on Nesdanet. Saw a
press release in the newspaper about it. Philips closed their remaining
parts and service facilities in the U S, and IBM offered employment to the
displaced Philips personnel that were willing to move to Atlanta.
