hello all; I would like to share an epiphany I had about the efficiency of the "boneyard". I might have been able to help William with his JVC junker request had he posted it two weeks ago. I have since tossed out countless audio and TV items from the warehouse. Why? About a month ago, I decided to time how long it took to find what one was looking for in the boneyard ( if it got found at all). The average was 20 minutes!!! Worse yet, the part was usually some odd-ball resister, or a timing cap. All of which are better off purchased new, if one considers the lost labor time during the "hunt". Ergo, I have made the decision to get rid of everything less than a known good chassis. Just my take on the situation...comments?
