Have you tried changing C4105 on the 140v line? This cap will stress out the STK. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Dravenstott" <cdravens@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, June 01, 2003 6:34 PM Subject: [TechAssist] 2nd Post repeat failure STK 730-30 in RCA CTC 187CL3 > Hi All, > This RCA 35" F35673MB, CTC 187CL3 was repaired 2 months ago with STK 730-30 bad and CR 4106 shorted. Replaced with OEM parts from RCA. > Unit is back and intermittently will kill the STK 730-30 again while in standby mode. Have been able to get no handle on cause. In standby the voltage out goes to 207 volts and pin 1-2 go to 0 and it dies. May turn on and run normally 9 or 10 times in a row then it won't start just squeels and dies. The earlier post lists a parts list we have tried. Maybe just bad regulators?? Trying another source. Anyone else seen this before? Suggestions? > Bill Dravenstott > Elza's HOme Store, LTD > Ashland, OH > cdravens@xxxxxxxxxx > **************************************************************************** * > The Tech Address Book: > http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/contact.html > Add a Repair Tip Here, or Change/Remove your Email Address: > http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/main.html > Lost Password: > http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Lost your Login Info?". > Email Archives: > //www.freelists.org/archives/techassist/ ***************************************************************************** The Tech Address Book: http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/contact.html Add a Repair Tip Here, or Change/Remove your Email Address: http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/main.html Lost Password: http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Lost your Login Info?".
