I have tried all suggestions with no result. Replaced diodes
transformer, caps and resistors pretty much turned into a shotgun job and
still won't go.
TV will intermittently go to a noticeable buzz (in stand by) from switch
mode transformer and output B+ (voltage 205V) and will not work. After a
few false starts it will eat the STK again. We are beginning to replace all
the parts in primary and secondary power for the 2nd time. Thanks for any
input.

Subject: [TechAssist] 2nd Post repeat failure STK 730-30 in RCA CTC 187CL3

730-30 bad and CR 4106 shorted. Replaced with OEM parts from RCA.
> Unit is back and intermittently will kill the STK 730-30 again while in
standby mode. Have been able to get no handle on cause. In standby the
voltage out goes to 207 volts and pin 1-2 go to 0 and it dies. May turn on
and run normally 9 or 10 times in a row then it won't start just squeels and
dies. The earlier post lists a parts list we have tried. Maybe just bad
regulators?? Trying another source. Anyone else seen this before?
Suggestions?
